The search is on for the thief or thieves behind a rash of ATV thefts.
Police in Genesee and Livingston counties say at least 12 all-terrain vehicles have been stolen over the past month. Two of the ATVS were child-sized models.
"We have had ATV thefts from Bethany Center Road in Bethany to West Bergen Road in the Byron-Bergen area and all points in between," Chief Jerome Brewster said.
Brewster said that investigators have found no trace of the stolen vehicles.
"We've checked Craigslist and other places and they are not turning up," he said. "Some of them had keys in them and some didn't. We're advising people to lock them and keep an eye out for anything suspicious."
