A 33-year-old Buffalo man was walking too close to the edge, when he fell 60 feet down into Niagara Gorge, Niagara Falls fire fighters say.
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) - Niagara Falls Park Police confirm with 7 Eyewitness News that an individual was rescued from a gorge near the Discovery Center off the Niagara Scenic Parkway.
Firefighters say a man was walking with his girlfriend along a trail and got too close. The man wound up falling 60-feet.
Crews hoisted the man up from the gorge using a basket.
The 33-year-old Buffalo man has a broken leg and a broken ankle. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance.
His name has not been released.
