Police say a woman who crashed a SUV into a tree in Orchard Park early Saturday morning was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
According to police, 41-year-old Nikia Jackson admitted to consuming alcohol, and showed signs of being intoxicated.
Officers say the Buffalo resident was traveling at unsafe speed and failed to negotiate a curve. The SUV went off the road, struck a street sign and crashed into a tree.
Police say Jackson failed field sobriety tests.
Jackson was released and is scheduled to appear in Orchard Park Town Court at a later date.
