There were three separate alleged drunk driving crashes in the span of five hours in Orchard Park overnight.

The first happened around 8pm on Route 219. A driver called police about a car swerving all over the road and hitting a road sign.

Police caught up to the car on Ellicott Road and officers say they saw the driver, 46-year-old Shelly Freier of West Falls, swerve over the center line into oncoming traffic before they pulled her over. Her vehicle had heavy front end damage.

Freier reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of .20 percent. She is charged with aggravated DWI and leaving the scene of an accident.

An hour later, officers had to respond to Orchard Park Road on reports of a car swerving into oncoming traffic. Officers arrived and saw the driver, 54-year-old William Riley of Hamburg, hit a curb as he continued down Southwestern Boulevard.

Officers say Riley failed field sobriety tests but refused a breath test. He was charged with DWI and his vehicle was impounded.

Finally, around 1:15am, officers were again called to Orchard Park Road, this time on reports of a speeding driver who was swerving over the center line. Officers say the driver, 22-year-old Samir Aliafey of Buffalo, hit the curb, flattening two tires, and was driving on the rims when they caught up to him.

Aliafey reportedly admitted he had been drinking and officers say they found a half-empty liquor bottle and marijuana in his vehicle. He consented to a blood test at a local hospital.

Police have charged him with consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana. Further charges are pending.
