The battle is not quite over for some members of the Scajaquada Corridor Coalition. Members of that group say they're not happy with the state's plans to re-vamp Rt. 198.

"We were shared a preview and we were disappointed with the plans because they look very much the same," said Mike Deluca, who is part of the coalition.

In February, the state promised a more pedestrian-friendly boulevard, that is unique and historical in nature. Now that the plans are out, Deluca says the state has not incorporated many of those original ideas.

"It's all about connecting neighborhoods, and the design we're seeing today is not that," Deluca said. "They're giving us something you would see on Transit, and they're not doing a plan that the community is embracing."

More ideas and design concepts will be available to the public Thursday at the Frederick Law Olmsted school from 4-8 p.m.
