A North Java man has been charged after killing a puppy last month.
Police say 20-year-old Tyler A. Cummins slapped the puppy in the head to discipline it after the dog urinated. Arcade police say he has been charged with torturing or injuring an animal.
The Daily News reported "the puppy allegedly died afterward of trauma."
According to police, the incident happened at a local business and a third party reported Cummins to authorities.
He is scheduled to appear in Village Court on April 12th.
