Marrano homes is ready to turn a plot of land in North Buffalo into the city's newest neighborhood.

Colvin Estates, located just off of Colvin Avenue will be the home of one hundred twenty-six new construction market-rate homes, with the first phase of thirty four home sites expected to being construction this Spring.

John Manns, of Marrano Homes says the market for the new homes has been hot.

"We took a half a dozen deposits this weekend alone and we've got all kinds of web leads to follow up on.  I could hire an extra receptionist just to sit in our lobby at our corporate office and take phone calls on this project."

Potential buyers aren't the only ones excited about the new project.  Greg Link, owner of Cone Five Potter Studio on Hertel Avenue says he's excited to see these new homes help the business district grow.

"I've been open a total of twenty three years and the amount of new customers that we're getting that have never been in before is kinda overwhelming."

The new homes are expected to start at $330,000. Manns says 6 of the thirty four available lots already have a deposit on them and says potential buyers will need to act fast.

"I anticipate it being sold out within the next sixty days."
