New home development could be coming to this town

There could be a new home development coming to West Seneca.

Marrano Marc Equity Corporation wants to build 38 townhomes behind its corporate office at 2730 Transit Rd. The new complex would be called Carriage Lane Townhomes.

There are two house sizes - 1350 and 1530 square feet. The price starts around $220,000.

Town planning meetings like the ability to oppose the development have come and gone. Now, there's another meeting at 7 p.m. that will essentially be the final say on whether construction can begin or not.

David DePaolo, Executive Vice President of Marrano Marc Equity Corporation, said he doesn't think there will be any issues going forward.

“We don’t expect there to be any difficulties this evening," he said. “If everything goes according to our expectations we will continue to get all our final approvals through the winter and get ready to start site work in the spring."

It is expected that the city approves the company's request. Residents could move in by 2020.
