The mother of 8-year old Treasure Brighon returned to Buffalo on Monday from Cincinnati. Tempest Thomas has been by her little girl's bedside at Shiners Hospitals for Children up until Treasure's death on Sunday.

Treasure was pulled from a devastating fire on Humber Avenue on February 19th. The little girl survived the fire, but suffered burns on 90 percent of her body. Her father, Demetrius Johnson, and neighbor Juan Montanez died in that fire.

Treasure's mother made the heartbreaking return to Buffalo on Wings Flights of Hope.

"She didn't want to go she didn't want to be on a commercial flight or be around anyone so I was happy to get her home," Joe Demarco with Wings Flights of Hope said.

Monday, Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell Whitfield ruled the Humber Avenue fire accidental. Whitfield says faulty wiring behind the stove was to blame.

"The fire emanated from that point, traveled up to the second floor and up to the attic, ultimately causing the death of three persons," Whitfield said.

The home has since been demolished, but a small memorial marks the spot where the tragic fire happened. At this point, funeral arrangements for Treasure Brighon have not been released.
