A 24-year-old man from Lancaster has died after falling from a fourth story balcony in Buffalo.

It happened around 10 p.m. at the Pearl Street Grill. A restaurant employee tells 7 Eyewitness News that Thomas Krickovich was at the restaurant with a group of Daemen College students for a school banquet.

He apparently fell onto W. Seneca Street between Franklin and Pearl Streets.

Buffalo Police say Krickovich was taken to Buffalo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy determined the cause of death as blunt force trauma from the fall. Police are still awaiting a toxicology report.

An attorney for the family released a statement to 7 Eyewitness News Friday:

This firm has been retained by the family to help and assist with their son’s tragic passing.  As part of our representation, we are conducting a thorough investigation into all the facts and circumstances surrounding Thomas Krickovich’s death.  Our own investigation, which will parallel the Buffalo Police Department’s investigation, will include additional experts and witness statements to determine the cause of the fall from the balcony at the Pearl Street Grill.
