Accused of making threatening Facebook posts, Arthur Jordan made his first federal court appearance.
The U.S. Attorney's office filed a criminal complaint against Jordan, alleging "interstate communications with threats" after FBI investigators found an online post that said "Let's start killing police and see how dey like it."
A representative from the U.S. Attorney's office also revealed that Jordan also shared another Facebook post that said "Let's kill one of them before they kill one of us," followed by gun emoji, pointed toward the police officer emoji.

FBI investigators attempted to make contact with Jordan the same day he allegedly made the posts, but he wasn't arrested until Buffalo Police encountered Jordan on July 14th.
The criminal complaint said the arresting officers quoted Jordan as saying, "Y'all look scared," and "I should have done some CNN (expletive), I should have been on TV," during his arrest.
Jordan is also facing state charges for possession of an illegal weapon, after Buffalo Police arrested him last week.
Jordan's defense attorney asked the judge to dismiss the complaint, citing the first amendment and saying the post was "stupid and just bad judgment."
U.S. Judge Kenneth Schroeder denied the motion to dismiss, saying that in context of the shootings in Louisiana, Minnesota and police ambush in Dallas; paired with Jordan's criminal history and the fact he was arrested with a loaded gun shows probable cause of carrying out the threats indicated in Jordan's online post.
Jordan is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 4th.
