Today New York Lottery’s Yolanda Vega presented $3,000,000 during a lottery winning ceremony in Buffalo.

27-year old Marquele Tomlin of Batavia received a $1,000,000 check. The couple of eight years won the jackpot on the $1,000,000 Double Sided Dollars scratch-off game. Tomlin said he had one dollar left after sending all the money he had by Western Union to help his mom. He used the last dollar he had to purchase a scratch-off. He’s planning to split the money with his girlfriend. After taxes they will take home $268,720 each. They want to buy a house and a car. Tomlin’s girlfriend wants to invest in cosmetics. Tomlin plans to now take a trade.

61-year old Antoinette Anderson of Buffalo also hit the jackpot with the Win $1,000 A Week for Life scratch-off ticket. She bought her winning ticket from the 7-Eleven on Genesee Street to pass the time before picking up a relative from school. She plans to buy a house, a car, and shop with her winnings. After taxes she will take home $521,948.

50-year old Kenneth Loncke of Amherst won the $1,000,000 second prize from the August 23, 2017. He finally cashed in on the winnings. Loncke said he purchased one set of numbers for the drawing because he was feeling lucky. He wants to invest the money into his children’s education and vacation on a beach on a Caribbean Island. He will take home a one-time lump sum payment. After taxes he will get $671,800.

The New York Lottery contributed $196,702,090 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts in Erie County during fiscal year 2016-2017.
