Two Lockport men have been charged with eight federal counts of bank fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Michael Rosier, 22, and Cody Kross-Rosier, 22, conspired with others to execute a scheme to defraud seven banks, according to prosecutors.

The alleged scheme involved efforts to obtain $123,000 worth of money, services and merchandise. Prosecutors said the men floated checks between bank accounts, in an effort to prevent the banks from discovering that they didn't have enough funds to cover the checks deposited or written.

The two met are set to be arraigned on February 21. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 30 years in jail and a $1,000,000 fine.
