WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WKBW) — It was August of 1969 when the eyes of the world were focused on a dairy farm in New York's Catskill Mountains. An estimated 400,000 people flocked to the site for the music festival that would be forever etched into American history ... Woodstock.

Now, 50 years later, the legend will live once again. According to the New York Times, from August 16-18, an anniversary show will rock Watkins Glen, about 30 miles west of Ithaca.

The Times reports that producers are in the process of getting tickets ready saying, "they envision selling a maximum of around 100,000 three-day passes, with most attendees camping on site."

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, organizers won't announce specific acts until tickets go on sale next month but show producers tell the publication, "it'll be an eclectic bill, it'll be be hip-hop and rock and some pop and some of the legacy bands from the original festival.”

Acts from the original Woodstock included legendary names like; Santana, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Who.
