BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Olcott Beach will be closed for the entire summer due to high waters on Lake Ontario.
That decision comes from the Town of Newfane Supervisor.
The beach in Krull Park is currently under water. Lake Ontario comes up to the wall where the lifeguards are set up.
It's one of many precautions that are being taken as families fear they might relive their flooding nightmares from 2017.
