BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The US Marshals Office says Andrew Maldonado was captured by US Marshals in Buffalo Thursday afternoon and is being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending extradition to Florida.
Maldonado was wanted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office after he was identified as a suspect following the investigation of a body discovered in a car that was set on fire in Lake Harbor, Florida.
Crime Stoppers was offering a $2,500 award for any information that would lead to the arrest of Maldonado, who was believed to be in the Buffalo area.
Maldonado is being held on first degree murder and first degree arson charges.
