CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Alex Tingley is a happy kid. He's a dinosaur-loving, four-year-old from Bradford, PA who is going through the fight of his life.
He has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
This year he was really hoping to go to Disney World, but he's too sick.
“He has a mutation that makes it a little more resistant to the chemo. So, his treatment is a little more rigorous,” said his mother, Katie Tingley.
So, a group called PuppySpot decided to make Alex's day.
“It's just great to see him smile and be so excited about something,” added Katie.
They gave him, Blue. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He's Alex's puppy now.
“I'm going to train him,” said Alex.
It's hard to see, when he’s with Blue, but Alex is going through a tough fight and Blue is going to help him through it.
