LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says an arrest has been made and a suspect faces multiple charges after a pursuit that led police throughout Niagara County Saturday.

According to the sheriff's office, 27-year-old Sincere Wiley, of Lockport, led multiple police agencies on a pursuit that began in the parking lot of the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, through the Town of Cambria, into the Town of Wilson, through the Town of Lockport and eventually into the City of Lockport.

Authorities say Wiley was driving recklessly in the NCSO parking lot around 3 p.m. Saturday when a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, Wiley fled toward Lower Mountain Road.

Wiley led the deputy westbound toward Lower Mountain Road, northbound onto Green Road, east on Ridge Road and then through a yard on the 4700 block of Ridge Road.

After going through the yard the NCSO says Wiley turned and began to travel westbound on Ridge Road nearly striking an NCSO patrol vehicle head-on.

Deputies say Wiley then turned onto Irish Road and was pursued by NCSO, New York State Police and Lockport Police through the various towns.

The NCSO says speeds during the pursuit at times were in excess of 80-90 mph and it was learned the vehicle was stolen out of the City of Lockport.

Wiley was taken into custody in a yard on Green Street and is being held at the Niagara County Jail without bail, no injuries have been reported.

  • Reckless endangerment
  • Unlawfully fleeing of a police officer
