BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — As if you don't have an excuse to dress up in green this weekend.
Saint Patrick's Day is this Sunday. But that doesn't mean you can't get a head start on the festivities.
7th Annual Keybank Live At O’Larkin
Dress up in green and head on down to Larkin Square for a live atmosphere. Local bands McCarthyizm, Crikwater, and Greater Buffalo Firefighters Pipes and Drums as well as Irish dancing with Clann Na Cara Irish Dance will perform Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. And since it's Larkin Square, you know there will be food trucks and beer. The event is free to attend.
Old Neighborhood Saint Patrick's Day Parade
This could be the last Saint Patrick's Day Parade in the Old First Ward. Marchers will walk on down South Park Avenue, Smith Street, Elk Street, Hamburg Street, and South Street. The parade starts at the Valley Community Center just off of South Park Avenue and Elk Street in South Buffalo. Festivities kick off Saturday at noon. You can find more information here.
2019 Saint Patrick's Day Parade
Can't make it to the Old First Ward Saturday? How about Sunday on Delaware Avenue! Neighbors will line up near the McKinley Monument. They will begin marching down Delaware Avenue around 2 p.m. You can see the parade route here.
St. Patrick's Dash
Maybe you are looking for a more fit Saint Patrick's Day festivity. If you happen to be in Jamestown, this event is for you. You have your choice of burning off the pint you drank for breakfast by either walking or running. It costs $25 to lace up for this event. Registration ends Friday at 5 p.m. Race takes place at the Northwest Arena at noon. You can find more information here.
Sesame Street Live: Make Your Magic!
Elmo and his friends will be at the UB Center for the Arts this weekend. You and the kids have four opportunities to see the gang perform on stage starting Saturday. Tickets start at $15. You can find a schedule here.
73rd Annual Shrine Circus
It takes countless cables, lots of lights and hours of man and women power to get the Shrine Circus ready to go. The Shrine Circus will present ten performances through the weekend. Tickets are available at the Events Center box office at the Fairgrounds and on Tickets.com. You can find a performance schedule here.
Buffalo Home Show
This will be the last weekend where you can check out the Buffalo Home Show downtown. You'll be able to find anything from pools, to contractors, to remodeling experts, Apple watch-controlled smart hot tubs to the newest under-cabinet lighting. New this year is a spring plant sale and a Buffalo marketplace to buy and take home goods the day-of. The Buffalo Home Show will take place at the convention center Saturday and Sunday. It costs $11 to get in.
