Local groups headed to Philly to see Pope

The historic visit by Pope Francis to the United States will wrap up in Philadelphia and the City of Brotherly Love is ready to celebrate.

More than 1 million visitors are expected over the next two days with many people traveling across the country and across the globe to get a glimpse of "the people's pope."

People have come from all over the world to be with the Holy Father.

Many are here for the world meeting of families. The guest of honor, Pope Francis, who will host a prayer vigil on Saturday before celebrating a papal mass on Sunday.

More and more pope merchandise is showing up by the hour, and you can't miss the unprecedented security. Everywhere you look are barriers and authorities.

Traffic coming into the City Center in Philadelphia has been shutdown for blocks and blocks. It will stay that way until Monday.

Pope Francis will arrive from New York City on Saturday morning.

Among the masses traveling here to Philadelphia, hundreds of people from Western New York, including large groups from Canisius College, Niagara University and St. Francis High School.
