Introducing Kiddie Kab: Uber for kids

It's a vision that took 15 years to come to fruition for Andrea Thompson. 

For years, the mother of two had a hard time figuring out how to get her kids to their activities while being a serial entrepreneur.

"Anytime you have a problem that you can't solve, if you come up with a solution - that's what you need to do," said Thompson.

She created Kiddie Kab out of necessity, but says it's grown tremendously since starting up in 2015.

Thompson says that the most rewarding part of the business is being able to help busy parents get their children to extra-curricular or enriching activities.

But, since the business has boomed, she's having a hard time getting good drivers to keep up with demand.

"Drivers, finding drivers that I would trust to drive my own children to drive these kids."

She says she's always had great drivers. They are all background tested, drug tested, fingerprinted, and the cars are GPS monitored.

"Even above all of the screening - they have to love children," she said.

Kiddie Kab has three divisions. One for children, one for medical transport and its latest addition called "Kids at Heart," a ride service for seniors.
