Developers have a new vision for an historic church in Buffalo that has been empty for more than two decades.
The redevelopment of Our Lady of Lourdes Church is only one step toward revitalizing its surrounding neighborhood.

The abandoned, boarded up church, dating back to 1898, sits between East North and Best Street on Main Street in downtown Buffalo.

The former Our Lady of Lourdes Church has sat vacant and quite literally falling apart since 1993.

Now work is underway by Ellicott Development to transform the longtime eyesore into the Saint Paul Mall Project, to become a mix of residential, office and medical space.

The first apartments and office space should be ready early next year. There will be a mix of market-rate and higher-end living spaces.
