The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the Town of Byron.
According to the Sheriff's Office, 23-year-old John L. Carney, of Leroy, was shot and killed Friday night just before midnight on Holley Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Genesee County Coroner.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.
No further information is available at this time.
