Drunk driver sentenced for crash that seriously injured two people

A drunk driver who seriously injured two people is headed to prison.

A judge sentenced 34-year-old Marshawn Levy to 12 months behind bars Thursday for Vehicular Assault.

Levy crashed his car head-on into another vehicle in May of last year on Bailey Avenue. Levy's BAC was .12% at the time of the crash. 

The collision caused seriously injuries to the two people inside the second vehicle involved.

A 27-year-old victim was at ECMC for a month due to a severe injury to his leg. A 25-year-old victim suffered a traumatic brain injury and since the crash has still not been able to speak or feed himself. He is still receiving long-term care at ECMC and remains in a wheelchair.

Levy pleaded guilty in February.
