We've learned when American Idol will hold auditions in Western New York.  ABC has confirmed the show will hold auditions for the show's next season September 9th in Buffalo.  The exact location of the auditions has yet to be announced.

American Idol Season 1 on ABC wrapped up in May.  During the show's finale we learned Buffalo would be one of the cities the American Idol Bus Tour would stop in leading up to Season 2.

Buffalo Niagara Film Commissioner Tim Clark had said the show contacted him about possibly sending producers to the Queen City for auditions.   The nationwide search for the next American Idol begins Saturday, August 25th, as the Idol Bus hits the road.  Buffalo is one of 20 cities the bus will stop in.  Additional cities are expected to be added in the coming weeks.

You must be at least 15 years old to audition for the show.  For more information on auditioning, click here.
