BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Crosby’s Stores, based in Lockport, with locations throughout Western New York and northern Pennsylvania are providing support to local communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Crosby's announced it has partnered with ConnectLife to host blood drives at stores due to the high demand for blood at this time.

“Blood donations are critical at this time to help save lives and help those in need at our hospitals and other care facilities,” said Doug Galli, general manager and vice president of Crosby’s Stores. “We’re proud to partner with ConnectLife to help provide more opportunities to help collect donations in this time of elevated need throughout Western New York and northern Pennsylvania.”

Crosby's says it is also increasing safety measures in its stores to protect its employees and customers, which includes:

  • Creation of a “safe zone” at the registers that offers a six-foot space of separation
  • Taped lines to demarcate appropriate spacing for those customers in the queue

  • Lids and condiments now available at the register
  • Associates wearing gloves and changing them between customer interactions, provided face masks to wear.

  • Plexiglass screens installed at checkout counters
