A Canadian man is facing charges after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers say he tried to bring nearly eight pounds of a hallucinogenic drug into the U.S.
CBP says 42-year-old Bumper Fisher was trying to cross into the U.S. via the Peace Bridge when officers became suspicious during their primary inspection. They referred him for further inspection. That's when officers discovered three bottles labeled Colibri Biajiy Shampoo.
The content inside the bottles tested positive for N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) a hallucinogenic substance listed as a Schedule I drug under the Controlled Substances Act of 1970
The drugs were seized and Fisher was arrested and turned over to the Buffalo Police Department to face charges.
