Buffalo sports fans can say "we're number one" - on a list no city wants to land on.
Forbes has named Buffalo "America's Most Miserable Sports City" in 2016.
"To calculate misery we considered current title droughts, the number of teams lost to relocation and the harsh postseason miseries suffered by deep runs that ended in failure," Forbes said.
The Bills have not made the playoffs since the 1999 season, the longest active playoff drought in the National Football League. The team also has the dubious distinction of being the only NFL team to lose four straight Super Bowls.
Buffalo hockey fans have also shared the heartbreak that's swept through Bills country. The Sabres, who just wrapped up their 46th season, have never won a Stanley Cup and haven't made it to the National Hockey League's postseason since 2011.
And while the Pegula family has erased fears of Buffalo's two major sports teams leaving town anytime soon, the past has not been kind to the Queen City. The Buffalo Braves of the National Basketball Association bounced out of Buffalo in 1978 and become the San Diego Clippers.
Cleveland finished second on Forbes' most miserable sports cities list, followed by San Diego, Minneapolis and Atlanta.
