It's now the third crime to take place on the Buffalo State Campus so far this school year.

Buffalo State Police report four students were robbed inside the Tower 3 dorms shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday. The students, according to the university, were walking in the stairwell when they were cornered by two black males who displayed a semi-automatic pistol and a knife.

Police say the suspect who displayed the gun was wearing jeans, Timberland Boots, and had the wood SWOOP buzzed into his hair. The other suspect was wearing sweatpants, black boots and a black hoodie.

"I would say Buffalo State is safe, and like any other campus or community, you have times when there is a spike in crime," said University Police Chief Peter Carey.

Campus police say they've increased patrols in the area, but still students are weary about safety on campus.

"It's only like the third week and there's already been like a girl molested, someone has been stabbed and someone has been robbed at gunpoint," said one student. "Where are the police? What's being done about it?"

The suspects got away with $20 in cash and a cell phone. No one was harmed during the incident.

College president Katherine Conway-Turner took to Tumblr to voice her concerns, outlining how the school plans to combat violence. You can read her post here.

Students plan to get together Tuesday night for a United Students Government Meeting. The meeting will take place at 8:45 p.m. in classroom building C122.
