The group 'Activists of Buffalo' has posted a video on its Facebook page of a tense airport encounter between a man and Congressman Chris Collins.

According to the post, the Republican Congressman was sitting in front of the man on a flight from Buffalo to Washington, D.C. on Monday. As they were exiting the jetway, the man calls Collins' name from behind.

"Representative Collins?" he said.

"Yes!" Collins replied.

"I'd like to know what you plan to do," the man begins to ask.

"Who are you with?" Collins asked.

"I'm a citizen. Just with myself," he replied.

Collins then instructs the man to turn off his phone, which is recording the interaction. The man refuses and proceeds to ask Collins what he plans to do "to prevent more massacres like what happened in Parkland and Las Vegas and Sandy Hook and Kentucky."

Collins asks for the unidentified man's name before saying he is not going to debate with him. Collins then turns the tables, asking the man why President Obama and Democrats didn't take action on implementing stricter gun control laws when Democrats controlled the White House and both houses of Congress in 2009.

7 Eyewitness News has reached out to Rep. Collins' office for comment.

On its Facebook page, 'Activists of Buffalo' lists itself as a 'News and Media Website' that highlights "the inspiring efforts of activists in the Queen City."
