Dozens across Western New York publicly called for Bishop Malone to resign.  That sentiment, is echoed by the man who helped bring the Diocese's sexual abuse crisis, out of the shadows--Michael Whalen.

Back in February, Whalen spoke for the first time about being abused, which led dozens of other victims to come forward.  He said what he heard in the 7 Eyewitness News I-Team's two-part report, didn't surprise him.

James Faluszczak--a former priest and abuse victim-- has been calling for Bishop Malone's resignation since March.  And now, he's ramping up his calls once more.

Now both men are calling on the State Attorney General's Office and The Erie County DA to open a joint investigation of the Diocese.

They also said it's important that victims continue to come forward.
