Housed in an old school, it's the perfect place to learn the A-B-C's of J-E-L-L-O. The colorful, jiggly, gelatin dessert was born in LeRoy, NY in 1897. It's no longer manufactured here, but definitely not forgotten thanks to the Jell-o Gallery Museum.

Lynne Belluscio heads up the LeRoy Historical Society which is home to the museum and she says "it's really America's most famous dessert, and it may be more American than apple pie. At least we think it is."

The Jell-o Gallery celebrates the history and staying power of the popular dessert. Displays include photos, original art work and colorful collectibles.

At the Jell-o Gallery Museum gift shop you can find t-shirts, mugs and some hard to find flavors of Jell-o including watermelon and cranberry. Proceeds from the gift shop go to keep the doors open at the Leroy Historical Society. Open year round, you can find more information at their website.
