Cascades of Fire Fireworks Competition

If you thought you saw the best fireworks on the Fourth of July, think again! Six countries will battle it out for who puts on the best fireworks show in the world. Niagara Falls, Canada is the hosting this year's competition. The shows kick off each night at 9 p.m. and are synchronized to music. The event kicks off Friday night. Holiday Valley Trucks and Brews

Who doesn't enjoy a ride down the 219 this time of year?! If you happen to be in Ellicottville tonight, head on down to Holiday Valley and enjoy a wide variety of food and beverages. Warm your hands near a giant bon fire and dance to some tunes. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. For more information, click here. 

WNY Children's Book Expo

More than 35 National and Local Children's Authors and Illustrators will be on hand at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center for this year's WNY Children's Book Expo. You can get your photo taken with princesses and your favorite costumed characters, including Curious George, Biscuit and Pete the Cat! The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. 

Buffalo Sabres vs Vancouver Canucks

Have you seen the Sabres play recently?! They might just be good at the hockey again! Vancouver is in town Saturday. They have some young budding stars on their roster too. Puck drops at 1 p.m. at KeyBank Center. Tickets are still available.  

Adult DinoFEST

Who said the fun is reserved for kids?! For one night only, the Buffalo Museum of Science is hosting Adult DinoFest. Learn about the amazing discoveries the museum has unearthed for you to see. Dinosaur BBQ will be on hand. Tickets are $16. The party runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Explore And More Veterans Day

Help the Explore and More Children's Museum honor our Veterans Sunday. Members of the armed forces will share with us what it means to be a Veteran. Kids will make cards that will be mailed to Veterans who are deployed over seas. Activities begin at 11 a.m. at the museum

Traditional Veterans' Day services

Take a moment to remember what Veterans' Day is all about on Sunday morning. The Erie County American Legion will conduct services at the American Legion Monument in Forest Lawn Cemetery at 9 a.m.
