Finally, nature gives a break from the heat. This weekend is full of activities across Western New York.

Taste of Buffalo

One of the largest two-day food festivals in the country will take place center stage at Niagara Square. More than 50 restaurants and wineries will take part in this year's Taste of Buffalo. The event runs on both Saturday and Sunday. The festival starts at 11 a.m. For a complete schedule, click here. 7 Eyewitness News will be at the Taste of Buffalo. Come and say hi! 

 

Jam in the Valley

It's a tradition that brings country music fans to Varysburg every year. Jam in the Valley kicks off Thursday in Varysburg and lasts through the Saturday. For a complete schedule and list of who will be playing at Jam in the Valley, click here

 

Conehead Appreciation Night at Coca-Cola Field

Sit back, relax and celebrate the vendor who brought us the 'Conehead Guarantee' Friday. The Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. 

 

Buffalo Book Festival

It's a festival every bookworm will love! 

After you're full from eating at the Taste of Buffalo, why not head on down to the 7th annual Buffalo Book Festival. This festival will be held at the Book Arts Center Saturday off of Mohawk Street and is free. The event runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Vanilla Ice

Cool down with a performance from the artist that brought us hits such as "Ice Ice Baby" and the "Ninja Rap" at Canalside. Vanilla Ice takes the stage with Dwayne Gretzky. The concert starts at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $5. 

 

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performs at Niawanda Park

Enjoy a beautiful day along the Niagara River while watching the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra perform the classics Sunday. The concert will be in Niawanda Park in Tonawanda. The concert is free and starts at 7 p.m.

 

David Blaine Live

One of the greatest magicians of our time will be in Buffalo Sunday. David Blaine will perform at Shea's Performing Arts Center. Ticketsare still available and start at $47.50.
