7 things for kids in WNY to do while on February break

There are plenty of things for kids to do in Western New York while they’re out of school on February break. 

You don’t have to travel far for these 7 things. 

Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum
This week the museum is offering fun STEM activities for kids. They are using Legos to build machines that uses a chain reaction. The museum is opened from noon-4pm. It’s located at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda. P. 716-693-1885

 

Buffalo Science Museum
This week the museum is celebrating engineering week. There are exhibits and activities for children of all ages. A great place to be when it’s wet and cold outside. Ticket prices are $11 for adults, $9 for children older than 2, and children under 2 gets in for free. It’s located at 293, 1020 Humboldt Pkwy in Buffalo. P. 716 896-5200

 

Buffalo Zoo
The zoo is hosting Polar Bear Days. Mission is just $5 every day with free parking. It’s located at 300 Parkside Ave in Buffalo. P. 716-837-3900

 

Sky Zone Trampoline Park
What kid doesn’t like a good jump every once in a while. 
It’s located at 425 Cayuga Rd in Cheektowaga. P. 716-206-3300  

Bounce Magic
There is one location in Hamburg and another in Buffalo. A lot of fun to be had inside the indoor play center and party venue. P. 716-646-5867

Local Library 
There is plenty to do at your local library. Give it a call and find out what activities and interesting and fun programs librarians might have going that you don’t even know about. 

 

February Family Night “Celebrate the Winter Olympics” 
This event is at The History Center on February 20th from 5:30pm-7:30PM. Here you can learn about the history of the Winter Olympics. More information on some local people who have participated in the games. Organizers will make an Olympic key chain and play some games. Admission is for free and it’s for all ages.  The History Center is located at 215 Niagara Street in Lockport. Reservations necessary by calling 716-434-7433
