A former Buffalo State College student is going to prison for six years after a campus attack last year.

Mohamed Kaba, 23, of Yonkers was in State Supreme court in Buffalo on Tuesday. Along with the six years in jail he also will serve three years post-release supervision.

Kaba was convicted of using a box-cutter to slash fellow student Tyrell Ganey outside the on-campus student apartment complex in September of 2015.

Ganey was badly scarred in the attack; Kaba was expelled from the school.
