Celebrate Scottish cultural heritage at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village August 18th and 19th.
This is the 34th year of the Buffalo Niagara Scottish Festival, bringing the excitement of highland games like caber toss and hammer throw to Amherst.
You'll also be able to see gathering of the clans, massed pipe bands, live Celtic music, dancing and different workshops. You can buy traditional goods in the Celtic marketplace, local craft beer, wine, mead and scotch as well as food!
The festival is in the museum's historic village from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for adult non-members are $13, $11 for seniors and military members and free for children 12 and under. Weekend passes are available for $20.
