Linda Pellegrino is the host of AM Buffalo, which broadcasts on air and online every weekday at 10 a.m. on WKBW 7ABC.
A native of Suffern, New York, Linda obtained her Associates Degree at Rockland Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Communications at SUNY Brockport. Linda also obtained graduate credits in meteorology at Mississippi State University.
Linda began her broadcasting career in Rochester, New York at WHAM radio. A powerhouse 50,000 watt AM giant, Linda then moved to Buffalo and continued her radio career at WBEN Radio 930 and WKBW. Television beckoned and Linda added a movie feature job at WUTV and also at Channel 31 in Rochester.
A move to WKBW television soon followed starting as a weather caster and features reporter for Eyewitness News. Linda began her association with AM BUFFALO soon after.
Linda resides in Cheektowaga with her husband Bob Stotz, who is the Superintendent of all Olmsted Parks in Buffalo. Their son Brett, whom viewers got to during Linda’s pregnancy throughout 1991, is now 28 years old, graduated from St. Francis High School, The University of Pittsburg and Canisius College and currently works as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
9 years ago, Linda shared her battle with breast and thyroid cancer with her AM BUFFALO audience. Linda still thanks the public for their ongoing prayers and credits that and her wonderful care from local doctors for her good health today.
Linda wrote about her on and off camera experiences in her first book titled, “Still Smiling."
Entering her 30th year as host of AM Buffalo, Linda continues to take great joy in her work and her ongoing relationship with her Western New York audience. And now adds the job of “host” of “Senior Radio Buffalo” heard weekends on WBEN radio.
When not at work, Linda has volunteered much of her time to the causes of Variety International, Cystic Fibrosis, Buffalo Animal Shelter, Buffalo Servicemen’s and Military Park, and The Buffalo Olmsted Conservancy.
