Pat Lalley may be one of South Buffalo's hardest working guys. Pat is a full-time Buffalo Firefighter and in his "spare time" one of the owners of The Blackthorn Restaurant and Pub. He grew up in the neighborhood, so it was natural for him to end up owning the popular neighborhood eatery.

The cozy atmosphere and great food attracts locals and big stars like Guy Fieri who enjoyed the Irish Beer Soup, beef on weck and the crab cakes. He missed another Blackthorn fav-the Jalapeno Tater Tots. Pat says the hand made tots are time intensive to make but very popular with the customers.

The Blackthorn has expanded recently, offering an outdoor patio and beer garden. Upstairs a banquet room and the meeting place for the prestigious Blackthorn Club. Pat says "they are a social club and lead the St. Patrick's Day parade every year."

You can find more info about the Blackthorn Restaurant & Pub at their website.
