Macy's may not get the Black Friday crowds and lines like Best Buy, Walmart and Target, but smart shoppers know it's a great place to find bargains on Thanksgiving night.

Macy's will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving, and its highlight is several items that are free after using mail-in rebates.

Shoppers get Black Friday prices all weekend long and don't have to be there at 5 p.m. if they are against the idea of skipping out on a holiday family dinner.

Those who go should be sure to bring the coupons from the Macy's ad for additional savings on many items, especially clothing.
