James Kattato is a multimedia journalist at 7 News WKBW in Buffalo. He joined the 7 News team in June 2022.
James is a New Yorker through and through. You can't get rid of him.
He started his career as a multimedia journalist at his hometown station, WKTV, in Utica, N.Y.
In 2020, he received his B.A. from SUNY Oswego in Broacasting and Mass Communication. In August, James earned his M.S. in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from Syracuse University.
James has had a passion for broadcasting since he was 13-years-old. His interests in the newsroom are feature storytelling, stories that ignite community, and sports stories that go deeper than a box score or stat.
Out of the office, you can probably find James kicking around a soccer ball on a random field in Buffalo, singing, cooking, or getting involved with local chapters of the Epilepsy Foundation.
