Emily is a first generation Filipino-American, born in Philadelphia and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Fun Facts:
- Emily was varsity captain of her bowling team in high school. Her high game is 279.
- Emily is likely much better than you in Tetris. (One could argue that she is a Tetris Master)
- Besides her mom's Filipino food, Emily's next favorite food is Al Pastor tacos from Taqueria Los Mayas in Cheektowaga.
Emily is happily married. She and her husband, Nick, have two daughters: Eva & Ashlyn. They moved to Amherst in 2017.
The Wally Family includes two dogs, Render & Rey (named after Star Wars characters), and a cat, Chop-Chop (the story that inspired his name is perhaps too long for this bio page).
Emily admits it's her family that inspires much of her creativity, which is why she created the web series "Wally World" to showcase them, their antics, and travels. She brought those adventures to AM Buffalo, and now "Wally World" is a reoccurring segment on the show. #WallyWorldTravel
A self-professed nerd, Emily Lampa loves sharing her science, tech, movie, TV, pop-culture, and off-beat obsessions. In 2022, she started "Nerd Alert," WNY's first monthly TV segment dedicated to nerdy news and events in the Buffalo area, which she co-hosts with her husband, Nick.
She also really enjoys spotlighting local businesses and taking viewers behind the scenes in an ongoing segment called "Workin' It."
