This is Valu Home Center's 25th year of partnership with Habitat for Humanity, their first year was 1993.
This year’s total dollars raised is $108,300. Not including this year’s total, Valu has raised over $3.6M (in the last 24 years). The total raised over the last 24 years is enough to have built 72 houses
Funds raised are distributed to the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate where the money was collected. We currently donate to 15 different affiliates. Valu Home Centers proudly covers 100% of the administrative costs for this campaign so every customer’s entire donation goes directly to Habitat for Humanity. In addition to raising funds, Valu Home Centers activates members of their store teams to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity through the community service initiative, Valu Crew. This year, Valu Crew is partnering with Habitat for Humanity during our Celebration Through Service, in honor of 25 years of partnership. The home where Valu Crew has been volunteering is Habitat for Humanity of Buffalo’s 300th house, which will be dedicated to Valu Home Centers after it is completed later this year.
