Some of the open jobs at technology companies are part of a new and growing type of employment trend, termed “New Collar.” These are jobs that require specialized skills and training, but not necessarily a traditional four-year college education. As we approach Veterans Day, it’s important to note former members of the U.S. military are often well-suited for New Collar employment. Veterans may not have the traditional education of other job seekers, but they’re cross-trained in multiple skills, have a unique ability to focus, and possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
