One of the biggest challenges facing our schools and teachers is getting young people excited about science and technology.

 

Joining Linda to discuss some award-winning students is Leland Melvin, an astronaut who is the only person to be drafted into the NFL who has actually flown in space. 

 

Leland Melvin is at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. to honor the winners of the 2018 Toshiba ExploraVision Awards.  It is the world’s largest K-12 science competition and it honors the best and brightest students our nation has to offer.  The student winning inventions include:
