OP Music House - coming sooner than expected

OP Music House accepts space in college

An exciting milestone has come to the OP Music House, Inc. Announced on WBNY Local Radio last week, founder Suzanne Perry enthusiastically accepted the offer to officially open, and function from Bryant & Stratton College in Orchard Park, starting at the end of August, on Fridays to start, as more details are ironed out.

Thanks to local country musician Todd Andrews, the link between the entities, classes will be offered and Certifications provided upon successful completion concerning all facets of music: theory, songwriting, business, and more. Motivational speaking, self-esteem boosters and generic support and referrals for those impacted by domestic abuse will also be provided.

An article featuring Perry's courage to carry on after being victimized for 22 years and transforming her bad experiences into positive inspirations will be out next week in several Bee circulars.

OP Music House is a community-based service which has 2 functions. It will offer instruments, staging and recording equipment to young adults 16-24 years old, where local musicians will spend time mentoring, giving lessons, tips and tricks.

The other function of the community center is providing support services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, with no restrictions. Personal safety recommendations are provided, referral services, and self-protection classes will occasionally be featured.

After conducting research, it was confirmed the southtowns has no recreational facility for the young adult population and this is where Perry wants to focus; to guide and develop these people that are curious and interested to express theirselves thru music.
