The Lewiston/Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Club is pleased to present its first BBQ rib festival called ART OF RIBS 2010. This is being held in conjunction with the 44th Annual Lewiston Art Festival which draws up to 30,000 people each year. The Art of Ribs will be held in Academy Park on Center Street and begins where the art festival ends! The art festival will end at 5PM, so it’s a perfect compliment for attendees to visit Academy Park for more fun, great BBQ ribs, other foods, beer, music and entertainment.
Art of Ribs is a Rotary fund raising event aimed to benefit Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation in Lewiston, NY. Funds will be used to purchase a new transport isolet which is used to transport new born babies from the delivery room to the nursery. In addition, funds will be directed towards the new Woman’s Breast Care Center.
Funds are generated from Sponsorships, BBQ and food vendor booth sales, proceeds from beer and merchandise sales, and from TUBBY, our 7’ piggy bank staged at the entrance of the park which accepts $2 donations from all attendees that enter the festival.
This event will be held on Saturday, August 14th from 10am to 10pm and Sunday, August 15th from 10am to 8pm.
