Dancing Under the Stars

STORM Brings Dancing to the Beach

Tickets are now on sale for “Dancing Under the Stars”, STORM’s latest fundraising event. It will be held on August 14, 2010 at the Sunset Bay Beach Club in Irving, NY from 3:00pm to Midnight. Proceeds will be donated to the Kiss 98.5 Radiothon 2010 to benefit Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

A series of 45-minute dance workshops will be held from 3:00pm to 7:30pm. Workshops will be taught by some of the best professional dance instructors in Western New York, including Tommy Radon (Samba), Sarah Hooper (Salsa), Maria Ruffato (Hip Hop), Travis Widrick and Tali Wagner (Argentine Tango), Mark and Venus Brighton (Swing). Attendees are welcome to participate in any, or all, of the Workshops. No partner or previous dance experience is needed.

From 8:00pm, Sunset Bay Beach Club will become the setting for a Dance Party featuring Guest DJ, Nicholas Picholas of Kiss 98.5. There will be a variety of entertainment throughout the evening including professional dance performances, live singers and a gymnastics display by Stumpf’s Gymnastics Center on the beach.

“If people haven’t yet been to a STORM event, this is the one to come to”, says Tommy. “We have fantastic instructors and entertainment lined up, Sunset Bay is the perfect summer location and the Radiothon is a wonderful cause. It should be a great day and I hope people come out and support us”.

Tickets cost $35 for a Day Pass or $20 for admission to either the Workshops or the Party. They can be purchased online at www.stormbuffalo.com or in person at Fred Astaire Orchard Park, 3459 Amelia Drive (located in the Quaker Crossing plaza).
