During our family camping trip to Evangola State Park this past weekend a baby bird just learning to fly found itself on my sons shoe. Throughout the weekend we had noticed some small birds in the tree just above our campsite were being tossed out of the nest continuously. At one point this baby bird ended up in the tire of our truck and then in the middle of the road. My son walked over to shoo it out of the road and the baby bird hopped onto his sneaker. It would not leave then. He walked around with this baby bird on his shoe until it finally decided to fly away into the bushes. It was great entertainment for everyone.
