Bill Schultz Jr. At Brooklyn AVP Crocs Tournament

AVP Pro Beach Volleyball

Just back from the Men's AVP Brooklyn Open, presented by Cushman & Wakefield, Bill Schultz Jr. has competed in five AVP CROCS Pro Beach Volleyball tournaments this year. He and his partner, Eben Meyers, managed to qualify for the main draw after eliminating an 11th seeded team and then a 6th seeded team out of a total field of 49 teams. Bill was seeded 22nd going into the qualifier on Thursday, August 23, 2007. The main draw competition was on Friday, August 24th. Bill and his partner had to play the number 1 seeded team, Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers. This game was broadcasted live over the internet. Bill and his partner lost in 2 games. Dalhausser and Rogers went on to win the entire tournament over the weekend (and split $28,000 dollars).

Bill, who brings a wealth of knowledge to those he coaches, is currently beginning his fifth year coaching the Grand Island Mens Varsity Volleyball Team.
He was a star volleyball player while attending Niagara County Community College and D'Youville College.
